Legacies
Enjoying life? Remember the Right to Life Charitable Trust in your will and help others to enjoy theirs.
By remembering the Trust in your Will you will help others to live and help to defend the vulnerable from conception to natural death.
The Trust has received several legacies which have proved invaluable in enabling us to continue our work. You can do the same by leaving the Trust a legacy or another gift in your will.
Charitable donations made in a will are completely free of inheritance tax and if you leave a donation to charity in your will it could reduce the amount of inheritance tax payable overall.
Preparing Your Will
In most circumstances, it is advised that you see a solicitor in order to make a will. This will ensure that your will is legally valid and that your wishes will be carried out.
However, if your affairs are very straightforward, you can make your own will using a pre-printed form available from most stationery shops, for example WHSmith and also from Tesco or Office World.
We can give you the contact details of a legal service who can help you prepare your will. They can travel to any part of the country and will give us a donation for every client they receive through us.
Alternatively, your local Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) can give you a list of your local solicitors who can assist you in making a will. Please contact us to get information on your local CAB or local solicitors’ firms where you can get advice on preparing a will.
Please also contact us to find out more about the types of legacies or gifts you can make, for information on inheritance tax and about adding the Right to Life Charitable Trust to your existing will.
